Dublin Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.
All area businesses are invited to take part in the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Corporate Challenge: A Battle of the Businesses on June 18-19, 2020 to compete in fun challenges and activities, meet area business professionals and raise funds to support local non-profit organizations.
Competitions are broken down into three divisions based on the size of company by the number of employees and include events for individuals at any fitness level. Planned events include: One Mile Walk, Minute-to-Win-It Games, Volleyball Tournament, Kickball Tournament, Distance Medley Relay, IGS Cornhole Tournament, Cardinal Health Dart Throw, Soccer Skills Course, Football Toss, Home Run Derby, Basketball Shooting Competition, Paper Airplane Throw, Bingo, Yoga, and Laser Tag.
The top three teams in each division get a donation made in their name to a charity of their choice. To date, more than $10,000 has been donated to local non-profit organizations and nearly $30,000 has been generated for the Dublin City Schools Business Academy and high school sporting teams that assist with the event.
The Dublin Chamber Corporate Challenge: A Battle of the Businesses takes place on June 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Scene75, 5033 Tuttle Crossing Blvd. in Columbus, and on June 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Dublin Jerome High School, 8300 Hyland Croy Road in Dublin.
