HUD regional field director to be honored at Urban Revitalization Coalition's Christmas Extravaganza

The Urban Revitalization Coalition, Inc., will honor Pam Ashby, regional field director at the U.S. Housing and Urban Development office at its Christmas Extravaganza in Cleveland on Sat., Dec. 14.

Last month, Ashby’s office presented $852,750 to Emerald Development & Economic Network, Inc., a Cleveland-based nonprofit housing provider. The funds will allow EDEN to assist non-elderly people with disabilities.

 Ashby joins Ja’Ron K. Smith, the special assistant to the President of the United States for domestic policy; former TV host Geraldo Rivera; Asu “Mook” Robinson, owner Diamond Cuts Barbershop; and Ellery “DJ Ellery” Smith as the event’s honorees.

The extravaganza will occur at the Galleria and Tower, 1301 E. Ninth St., from 3 to 5 p.m. Doors will open at 2 p.m.
