Ja’Ron K. Smith
The Urban Revitalization Coalition Inc. will honor Ja’Ron K. Smith, the special assistant to the president of the United States for domestic policy, at its Christmas Extravaganza in Cleveland on Sat., Dec. 14.
Previously a policy adviser on urban affairs and revitalization, Smith joins Pam Ashby, regional field director at the U.S. Housing and Urban Development office in Cleveland; former TV host Geraldo Rivera; Asu “Mook” Robinson, owner of Diamond Cuts Barbershop; and Ellery “DJ Ellery” Smith as the event’s honorees.
Smith joined the Trump administration in 2017 and was tasked with pursuing the president’s agenda on a slate of issues important to the African-American community, according to CNN.
Presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway once referred to the Cleveland-born Smith as the most senior black aide on President Donald Trump’s staff.
The extravaganza will occur at the Galleria and Tower, 1301 E. Ninth St., from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 14. Doors will open at 2 p.m.
