1.7 percent of Ohio University-Main Campus students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018


In 2017-2018, 1.7 percent of Ohio University-Main Campus students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Ohio University-Main Campus has 22,309 undergraduate students, of which 60 percent are women and 40 percent are men, and a total student body of 28,480 students. Of these students, 250 men and 240 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Ohio University-Main Campus with the most participants are football (120), all track combined (110) and wrestling (46).
