52 percent of applicants to Defiance College were admitted for fall 2018


At Defiance College, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Defiance enrolled 545 students in fall 2018, including 522 in undergraduate and 23 in graduate programs, data shows. 5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Ohio, and 41 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (72 percent) and Black or African American (14 percent).

The school admitted 52 percent of the 1,502 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 20 percent enrolled.
