Graduates earn 381 degrees, certificates from Bowling Green State University-Firelands


About 70.1 percent of the 381 degrees and certificates handed out by Bowling Green State University-Firelands in 2017-18 were to students in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Huron conferred 267 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 267 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 28 associate's degrees in kindergarten/preschool education and teaching and 24 associate's degrees in "other" engineering technologies and engineering-related fields.

The university enrolled 1,970 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
