Graduates earn 2,826 degrees, certificates from the University of Dayton


About 22.8 percent of the 2,826 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Dayton in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Dayton conferred 550 bachelor's degrees and 90 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Data shows the school gave out 195 bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering, followed by 153 bachelor's degrees in general marketing/marketing management and 146 bachelor's degrees in speech communication and rhetoric.

The university enrolled 10,882 students for 2017-18, including 8,499 in undergraduate programs and 2,383 in graduate programs.
