Graduates earn 10,091 degrees, certificates from Ohio University-Main Campus


About 34.4 percent of the 10,091 degrees and certificates handed out by Ohio University-Main Campus in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Athens conferred 2809 bachelor's degrees and 410 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 2517 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 361 master's degrees in general business administration and management and 287 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 29,369 students for 2017-18, including 23,167 in undergraduate programs and 6,202 in graduate programs.
