About 70.1 percent of the 491 degrees and certificates handed out by the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management in 2017-18 were to students in engineering programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in AFB conferred 164 master's degrees and 153 certificates in engineering programs.
But the single most popular program was for a certificate in engineering physics/applied physics. Data shows the school gave out 84 certificates in engineering physics/applied physics, followed by 50 master's degrees in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical/space engineering and 33 master's degrees in electrical and electronics engineering.
The school enrolled 898 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in 898 programs.
