Graduates earn 1,678 degrees, certificates from Xavier University


About 30.8 percent of the 1,678 degrees and certificates handed out by Xavier University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Cincinnati conferred 265 master's degrees and 252 bachelor's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 126 master's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 103 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 98 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies.

The university enrolled 6,786 students for 2017-18, including 4,634 in undergraduate programs and 2,152 in graduate programs.
