Graduates earn 392 degrees from Wittenberg University


About 20.4 percent of the 392 degrees and certificates handed out by Wittenberg University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Springfield conferred 72 bachelor's degrees and 8 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general biology/biological sciences. Data shows the school gave out 49 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences, followed by 29 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 28 bachelor's degrees in general marketing/marketing management.

The university enrolled 1,884 students for 2017-18, including 1,857 in undergraduate programs and 27 in graduate programs.
