Graduates earn 608 degrees, certificates from Otterbein University


About 30.1 percent of the 608 degrees and certificates handed out by Otterbein University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Westerville conferred 90 bachelor's degrees and 86 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in family practice nurse/nursing. Data shows the school gave out 51 master's degrees in family practice nurse/nursing, followed by 49 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 32 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The university enrolled 2,936 students for 2017-18, including 2,480 in undergraduate programs and 456 in graduate programs.
