1.9 percent of Ohio State University-Main Campus students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 1.9 percentage of Ohio State University-Main Campus students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Ohio State University-Main Campus has 45,946 undergraduate students, of which 52 percent are men and 48 percent are women, and a total student body of 59,837 students. Of these students, 584 men and 562 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Ohio State University-Main Campus with the most participants are all track combined (223), football (130) and rowing (114).
