48 percent of applicants to Wilberforce University were admitted for fall 2017


At Wilberforce University, 80 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Wilberforce enrolled 627 students in fall 2017, including 609 in undergraduate and 18 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

28 percent of undergraduates are residents of Ohio, and 70 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (91 percent) and white (3 percent).

The school admitted 48 percent of the 2,692 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 10 percent enrolled.
