Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 9.
Amanda Byers will be joining the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce as the President/CEO on March 12, 2018 after working as a Program Manager for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce for nearly 12 years. In addition to working with membership recruitment, retention and sponsorship, Amanda created and managed the Dayton Area Logistics Association, which has grown to over 250+ participants. She also coordinated the Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council Board for 10 years. Through her experiences, she has worked with legislators at both the state and local levels on a variety of issues.
Amanda currently serves on the marketing committee for the Doors of Compassion Event hosted by the Ronald McDonald House in Dayton. She also served on the logistics committee for the Miami Valley March of Babies from 2011-2015, serving as chair from 2014-2015.
Amanda resides in Beavercreek, Ohio with her husband Chris, two daughters Allison & Haley who attend Valley Elementary, as well as their dogs, Bailey and Buckeye. She graduated from Beavercreek High School in 2003 and attended Sinclair Community College, also completing the “Grow Like a Leader” workforce course in 2014 through Sinclair Workforce Development.
In Amanda’s spare time you will find her enjoying her weekends camping, boating, taking on house remodeling projects and spending time with her family and friends.
